Isra University Welfare Hospital

The Isra University Welfare Hospital (IUWH) provides quality healthcare to the needy people on non-profit basis in all fields. It is a 200-bed facility housed in two blocks that are linked by a central corridor. On one side, the facility has a ramp that links it with an OT on the first and second floors. IUWH is also linked to IUH by a bridge over the intervening road at the first floor level. The bridge allows fast movement of patients, trolleys and medical staff between the two hospitals.

A patient pays only Rs. 5 in the outpatient department (OPD) for the registration, screening and examination, and 3 days off- the-counter free medication. In the inpatient department (IPD), a patient pays a package price to cover the cost of the consumables for medical or surgical treatment needed by him/her. Deserving poor patients are provided partial financial relief through Zakat fund while very poor ones are provided absolutely free treatment from admission to discharge.

The Out Patient Department has six teaching clinics, two independent clinics, radiological diagnostic facility, minor procedures and demonstration rooms. The Hospital houses a free renal dialysis facility. The wards have staff office, nursing station, pantry and store, etc.
